Hi Gail

What a fine pair you are, I have been through all my photos on line and havnt got one of both of us together, how bad is that.

do you hire a car when you come over? and if you do who do you use?

Will all your electrics be done when you go back in March, I have just booked tickets to go back out on Jan 11th for 12 days, to finish getting everything sorted, so we will be ready to have guests in March.

going to try and do a selfie of the both of us....

Best Wishes Sarah

Hello nice to see you. I had to hunt around too. Sons wedding a couple of years ago.  We haven't hired a car yet but have been recommend Terry's. Yes the electrics should be sorted by March. At least I'll be able to boil a kettle & use the toaster at the same time lol. 12 days should be plenty of time to get things sorted, our solicitor recommended Sabadell they have a good internet site but not one in the village! So is your house all ready to go? Ours is still for sale on the web site, I keep checking! Speak soon.  Gail.

Hi Gail

Yes its ready to go, just needs a bit of tidying up, we bought some furniture with it but needed sofa and chairs and kitchen stuff.

We normally use for car hire  a company called Cargest , we have used them twice now, you don't have all this Hassel with petrol. There is half a tank of petrol and you have to bring it back with half a tank.  I was just wondering what else there was out there.

We think we are going to use Cajamar Bank, mainly cos there is one in the village and they speak English.

What estate agent did you use?, our house was not actually advertised , we were shown it with other houses that we had seen on Keyro,

Is Mick a good handyman, will he be able to do a lot of the work himself, its all questions eh, xx

Oooo that's good to know, we've only used public transport till now. That's how we found Trabuco, had to be within a hour of the airport by public transport. How did you end up there?Yes Micks pretty handy but all his tools are here. Excuses excuses. lol. Simply Andalucia but I used Kyero & Rightmove & A place in the sun, drove Mick mad. Have you been looking awhile?

Hi Gail

Yes we had been looking about10 months? We initially looked around Lake Vinuela, but found it a bit too English in parts and too remote in other parts. We love the hills and mountains but like you wanted to be within an hour of the airport. We liked the look of Trabuco and looked at it on Google Earth. And thought it was worth a look. Loved it straight away, the ambience the facilities, easy to get to and close to lots of places. Juliet our estate agent showed us several houses, this was our 2nd choice as the one we really liked we couldn't afford, we put in an offer and that was that.

We looked at public transport, but as far as we could see there was 1 coach in the morning and 1 in the evening, is that right?

We do like to explore, and John likes to fish, and Rio Frio nearby is good for that once he gets his licence. I like walking, riding, swimming, so that's good

What do you and Mick like to do?

Best wishes Sarah

3 coaches a day Monday to Friday to Malaga. The week-end coaches no longer run. Loved where the village is situated Granada, Seville, Cordoba perfect. OMG you need to retire to fit all those hobbies in! Mick's a big Rugby fan. I still work full time, family & friends keep us busy. What type of riding? Gail

Hi Gail

thats good news about the coaches, we would definetley use them.

What do you do work wise?  I ride Horses, although I have not ridden for about a year, but it was my career for 20 years. now just for pleasure.

John likes Rugby too, needless to say he supports Scotland and I support England, makes good banter in 6 Nations and World Cup.

Best wishes Sarah

General administrator for an electrical company. There's only 5 of us but we have 20 subcontractors too. Oh how lucky are you I love horses but unfortunately our paths have only crossed on a few occasions, there's a place near Trabuco that has horses! Don't tell me you was on that donkey at Ascot last year lol. It's got to be Rugby League I'm afraid. Apparently too much kicking in Union. Whatever! Do you have children?  Gail x

Hi Sarah and Gail.

I hope you don't mind me butting in but we have just brought a holiday home in the sister village to Trabuco and I saw from your replies (about the only ones on this forum) that you both are in a similar situation. We are here right now for new year. We looked at loads in Trabuco over the last 12 months but wanted a pool and we are only 5 minutes away. It would be great to trade tips/ recommendations etc - if you did get in contact. Regards Bonnie and Glyn

Hi  Bonnie and Glyn

Great to hear from you, John and I are flying out to Trabuco on the 11th January for 12 days. It would be great to meet up and have a chat.

Will you be around during that time?

If you are then I will contact you when we get there and perhaps we can meet for a coffee. Look forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes Sarah
