Thank you everyone that replied. It's very confusing, I have to say. I thought the Spanish NHS was supposed to be good? At least I could walk to the doctor surgery and not have to drive 30 mins. X

There were some facts below published in April when Average wait for a public hospital operation in Andalucía stood at 190 days. It's very slow compared to private, I have a friend who had an MRI lower back scan and then had to wait 10 weeks to see the consultant for the result.
