We have a property in Trabuco, and would like your opinion/advice on how to heat our property , we were looking at a log burner but are now worried about the environmental issues around burners. We have used a calor gas heater but while been good it does not heat the house.  Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you all in advance.

Thank you for your reply. I have not heard of the Biomass boiler, I looked them up they look really good, but the cost is way beyond our reach. We are retired and on a limited income. Thank you again.

Hi,

Have you looked at pellet burners? Very efficient and cheap to run.

Thank you Martin, do you have any idea how much a burner might cost or where we might be able to see one in Trabuco. Thank you again.

For the installation of pellet burner or biomass boiler (it is the same) you can contact Instalaciones Arroyo.

What about oiled filled radiators.

With regard to log burners if you decide to buy one it's down to the fuel you use and how you burn your logs. Don't burn logs if they are damp/wet. You are better speaking to a specialist in burners they should be able to help you however, I doubt you would be able to get the information you need from Spain. England specialist in burners are your best bet.

Good luck

We got ours through www.ferlux.es         who just happen to be in Trabuco. You can find the address on the website. We had a local engineer install ours. They are available from 8/10 Kw   up to  12 Kw   depending on how big your house is. We have a middle of the range and that cost around E 1500  plus installation.

Thank you everyone your advice and suggestions. We are in the UK at present so will do some investigations here about burners. Once back in Trabuco we will continue the investigation there.
We are still trying to decide whether to move to the village permanently or not. We are both retired, my husband is 79yrs and feels the pull of the UK.

Thank you everyone again.😊
