There are two medical centres within Torrox municipality - one in the pueblo down from the plaza, and in El Morche, on the paseo along from Bio Beach Bar. Both are helpful and used to managing EHIC situations. Make sure you take the medication with you - sounds obvious but some people do forget!

At the moment, with this weather, I think El Morche might have more parking. The pueblo clinic has a car park behind it. It's more about the time of day you go, it's always busy first thing so, after 11am is usually better. Plus, Mondays are busy pretty much all morning. Same as the UK, really!
El Morche have many staff who can speak enough English if your Spanish isn't up to it. The peublo, not so much.

Hope it goes well for you.

"where I can get a prescription using a EHIC card?"

I thought the EHIC card is for emergency travel use only and you need a prescription from a doctor.

If you need any treatment whilst abroad you can use EHIC or the new global replacement.

You usually have to lay out the costs and claim back whatever they allow towards costs.

My S1 is on its way and active (i.e all healthcare paid by UK) from 1 April.

Some EHIC card facts in this link.. https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/health/prescription-medicine-abroad/expenses-reimbursements/index_en.htm

I'm not sure if you will get medication with it in a pharmacy or for free, they might insist on a Spanish one, however you can try, I thought the card is for emergency treatment while on holiday, for which they do not charge in their state run medical centres and hospitals. For minor things private doctors are very cheap in Spain, about 40 Euros, very good and cheap, state medical centres can mean a very long waits.

Sorry to ask but can you still get you S1 from U.K. when applying for residency in Spain? I thought it finished.
