Hello    I am coming to view houses in Torrox in September with a view to retiring there.

I would like to know how lively or not the Town is ?

I'm actually needing a house in a quiet area - I do love my peace and not great with noise pollution at all.

Would the Pueblo sound more suitable for me? And what is the population in the Pueblo compared to Costa?

Thank you !

Hi, i have spent some time in Torrox pueblo and costa. Costa is definitely more noise, great to visit and to return to the pueblo later in the day for rest. Buses run every hour from pueblo to the Costa and is 1 euro. There is plenty going on in the pueblo but at a sedated reserved pace and everyone their is very friendly. Best purchases for quietness is an original old build as the walls are much thicker. The newer houses at the top of torrox and torrox park are newer buildings and the walls can be very thin. Best buys are behind the main square upwards. But best to remember not to high up, unless you arr happy with the walks. An old house in the middle of torrox pueblo near the free carpark is best as quiet, thick walls, and can park your car for free. Unless you don't drive, then near the square is gorgeous houses. Hope this helps

Thank you so very much, that was really VERY helpful!.  Yes, I had wondered about newer builds having thinner walls :-(  It sounds like Costa is definitely not for me, even though the estate agent said it was a quiet area lol. (they do make me laugh).  Thanks again, regards Mo.

You'll probably do better by starting a new thread for your post as you've only really commented on an old thread from 2020 which is a bit past it's sell by date now.
