just bought in Torrox Pueblo - got so many questions !

bins are brilliant and all recyclable just as you enter the pueblo from the torrox frigiliana road. You can get gas from the little shop opposite the football academy office again not far from the entrance into the pueblo via the calle pontillo.

Welcome to lovely Torrox pueblo!

You can buy gas bottles from the above mentioned shop, also the ferreteria on the square and Paco's shop on Calle Baja. In fact, his shop is full of stuff worth checking out, including garden/terrace bits. He will deliver, too, he's really helpful with good prices.

The gas lorry comes on a Wednesday morning, from 8am onwards, depending where you live. Ask your neighbours what time, as they whizz by and are easy to miss. The gas men are also very helpful and will carry the bottles up stairs for you.

Rubbish collection is amazing, every night it's picked up and they take most things. There are many recycling points around the pueblo, a good excuse to wander around and orientate yourself.

On the costa, just by Sabadell bank by the roundabout, is a furniture and decoration shop with a range of soft furnishings, mattresses, and pillows. Of course, the Chinese shops have bedding but, not always the most contemporary of designs. As it's summer and you don't need so much on the bed, it's another good excuse to wander further afield, as Nerja has some shops with nice stuff. Malaga is chock-full of lovely soft furnishing places, too, and the city will reward many visits.

The costa has two charity shops, one on the avenue leading to the lighthouse, the other opposite Mercadona. They both have bed linen/curtains etc, and the second larger one has furniture, they will deliver on Thursdays. They also need volunteers to help with the dog rescue service they run, just contact TAIL or stop by the shops.

Ask tails charity shop torrox will collect bulky goods on a Thursday, also have furniture in the shop, also on the right hand side on way down from Pueblo to bp garage 2 big skips emptied regularly you can take Anything there.🤗

Lots of beds, furniture, linen ,virtually new beds curtains  etc etc in Tails charityshop Torrox Costa oppositemercadona, open 10am- 2pm mon-sat, everything you need !!

We bought in La Cala de Mijas last year and IKEA was a blessing.   Yes they do deliver but they charge for the delivery.

We have bought furniture from IKEA in Malaga. They deliver when they say they will and usually within a day or so. You can also get gas from the BP garage. Depending on the furniture, some of your neighbors may be interested!

Thank you all for getting back to me - lots of really great recommendations - Im coming over at the beginning of July - bringing my daughter and grandchild - so will be looking for high chair and travel cot as  a priority - will definitely buy them locally - don't fancy the climb up all the stairs

with that lot!  We stayed in the hotel La Casa recently and was told about Pacos shop, he will be my first visit.
