Hi there. We are about to purchase a small town house in the puebla as non residents. Has anyone got a recommendation for a bank  to handle D/Ds etc for no or low fees

 Thanks Kiki

Hi Holaitsdavid- thanks v much for taking the time to respond. Yes I have already researched N26 and WISE but mixed later reviews on Trustpilot plus I needed to chat with some-one but it wasn't  available. We have decided on one of the bricks and mortar banks on the plaza in Torrox pueblo  for Y 1 and have ruled out Caixa and are left with Cajamar and Unicaja... if anyone has any comments , I'd be happy to receive them Ta

Both myself and associates have used N26 and Wise for some time, both first class and low cost. Wise best for international transfers and N26 for payments and D.D's.  Bricks and mortar banks, as you call them, are costly in Spain and not easy to deal with.

N26 is very good and now popular in Spain have office in Madrid, tip top up from UK via Wise, you will save a lot of costs, easy to open account nothing to lose, must have address in Spain or EU, it's a Euro account. Important thing Spain, not a Spanish bank but a Euro account. .  .

Well can I just ask whether anyone has the Wefferent account with Cajamar ? Or their other account? . Bear in mind , there will be no regular salary/ pension payments going in .

My friends in Nerja are with this bank and have think it is a decent bank .

Well thanks so much for that. The Wefferent looks like a reasonable bet as we have all the paperwork and our Power of Attorney can go and set it up in the branch. If it doesn't work out we can switch at a later point . Thank you all for your valuable contributions

 Gracias  Kiki
