Can u take a a small dog in the bus to Malaga ?

Does anyone know of any bus services that u can take a small dog on the bus to Malaga? We are so far away from the train station it's a real pain having to take taxis to the train station in Arroyo. I know there is a train station in Torremuelle but it's equally as far to get to.
Can anyone suggest a good way of getting into Malaga with my dog on public transport apart from trains?
