May I suggest you look at Carihuela Beach apartments you can deal with them direct (just add .com to your search).

However I would also like to suggest that the Pez Espada Hotel would be most suitable if you ask for a specific floor and view.

Security,support and safety is now a priority in Spain and accomodation is a plenty and cheaper at that time of year.

Im sure your visitors would find cheap and close accomodation to you for a short visit.

Jet2 and Tui may further assist.

Hi from a woman who likewise has managed to accumulate the many 80 years!

I have just spent 8 days in a rental in La Carihuela. It was perfect. A ground-floor apartment beautifully decorated and modern. You enter into the living room which has a sofa bed, table and chairs and there are 2 larg3 wi dows with adequate blinds. There is a separate bedroom (not huge but adequate) with a large comfy bed and good quality linen.

In between the two is the open plankitchen with washing machine/dishwasher and stove top plus microwave.

Bathroom not huge but also adequate with shelving and walk-in shower.

I rented it through Booking.com.

It is listed as ‘Calle_perros bajo’.

A lovely quiet pedestrianised street a mere 2 steps away from the promenade and a chemist/supermarket (Maskom) AND a taxi rank opposite the supermarket. All at 2 minutes away.

To give you an idea of its whereabouts…entrance to Calle Perros is opposite the children’s primary school/ and 2 steps from hotel Cabello where the fountain is/steps to main road for bus stops to Torremolinos centre.
