Hi I'm really hoping someone can help me here...  Long story short, My son went to torremolinos when he was about 22 ( he's now 35) got drunk had a row with his girlfriend, got arrested for assaulting his girlfriend ( he shoved her)  he was let out of the police station the same day and was told to come back the next day to appear in court... He was terrified and caught the next plane home instead... Now he's grown up has his own family and he won't go back to Spain with us all for a family holiday, so I'm trying to find out if he actually would get arrested again if he tried to enter spain again... I personally think they were glad to see the back of him and wouldn't bother to hold anything on him... But I need to find out for sure, does anyone have any ideas how i can find out please?

A desperate mum

Nobody here is going to be able to tell you and even if they do you don't know them and they are unlikely to be qualified. Advice maybe but are you really going to take that as gospel? Contact an English speaking Spanish lawyer, explain the details and get him or her to find out for sure. I can't imagine it will cost much but you will then have peace of mind that you can rely on.  As an opinion only I can't imagine for a second that your son is on the most wanted list but better to have a check done but somebody qualified to do it. Good luck!

Done all that already was advised to contact torremolinos police, i wasnt going to be stupid enough to believe just anyone saying "oh it will be fine just go" i was asking if anyone had any other advice of how i could find out this information, or even if there were some ex pats that were living there that could help me out with the torremolinos police.... But the lack of response I'm getting probably not...

In terms of getting to more local people my guess is that you will do better by going to a torremolinos or costa del sol forum or group on Facebook. You will get to many more people very quickly. As much as I like this forum it's not massively active these days. Personally I still think going down the English speaking Spanish lawyer route is the way forward. Good luck!

Ive done the English speaking solicitor 3 times and they said they can't help... I'm going to get in touch with the British embassy in Spain and see if they can help, thanks for trying to help though 👍

Try these guys: https://www.gbabogados.co.uk/criminal-law-spain/?gclid=CjwKCAiA66_xBRBhEiwAhrMuLT3nIPECKVzJCqG0Wa9m38pJ4XOzStaW8Tu7fZ2qvMM2BscZRuAoHhoCfwkQAvD_BwE ...on their website it says

If you have been involved in an incident in Spain, please feel free to contact us to discuss your circumstances.

GB Abogados offer confidential consultations under no-obligation and at no cost.

And they have a live chat option on their website too. Might be worth a chat.

Or these: https://advocateabroad.com/lawyers/administrative-law/arrest-warrant-check/spain/

Here you can supposedly check for outstanding arrest warrants plus they have both Spanish and a free 0800 UK number....
