Malaga airport is open and you can get to Torremolinos as it is closer to the airport than Malaga. You go down the back road from Plaza Mayor which is next to the airport.

Hi, do you think Teresa B could post the official notification of her statement. I have not heard of that until I read her quote, my neighbour is travelling on the 3rd of December and I am `planning to go on  the 11th of December, if she could elaborate we would appreciate it and perhaps sav...

We arrived on Tuesday night at 22-30 from Glasgow, picked up the car and drove to benelmadena without any problem. As long as you have your boarding card, car rental agreement and proof of where you are staying then it’s not a problem.

Nothing personal - but I was under the impression that Brits were not allowed into Spain on holiday at the moment.

I believe Glasgow is a hot spot for the disease and currently  in lockdown.

As a Brit and a Spanish resident, I am not allowed to leave my village.

What is going on ??

I personally won’t be travelling abroad until there is some clarity. Hopefully the vaccine will be available sooner than later. No fun being on holiday at the moment or at home for that matter. I was left stranded in Spain in March so that wasn’t much fun

I’m not here on holiday and this was the last flight, for now, from Glasgow.

The police are checking people travelling on the roads. I was stopped travelling to Antequera and questioned why I was driving. I had to prove that I lived there and had travelled to Malaga to see my solicitor. There is a fine if you cannot prove a reason and you will be turned back.

Yep, not much fun for holidaymakers, or the young, at the moment.

Everyone is confined to their immediate area.....Bars etc, have to be closed by 6pm and there is a curfew between 10pm and 7am. Nobody is allowed out on the roads, during those times, without providing a valid reason.

The rules change regularly and very quickly. You are wise to stay put. Fingers crossed for next year......It sounds very hopeful.

Yes the airport is open.  But please be aware that at the moment there are fines in England for going on holiday - only essential business travel exempt.  Travel restrictions here mean that you can’t travel outside municipalities (towns) unless for business health reasons or traveling...

... to your home. So Malaga to Torremolinos would only be allowed if you had a home there.

Please be aware of the Spanish requirement for a negative covid test certificate at point of entry and the test within 72 hrs

Also the curfew as Ryanair fly in from Bournemouth Malaga sometimes arrival 2345 so if you are being picked up ensure your friends have a copy of the boarding pass to show the police if stopped en route to the airport

So are there no taxis working from airport to pick up from incoming flights?

ANDALUCIA | The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has given a press conference to publicize the new measures that will be applied in the region, following the decisions taken by the expert committee.

He explained that the measures put in place "are bearing fruit" and that they are being applied "because although they are difficult, they are necessary."

The Junta de Andalucía has extended the current measures until December 10:

Maintain the perimeter closure.

You can only leave or enter each municipality with a justified  purpose.

The curfew will continue from 10 pm to 7 am.

The hospitality hours limit is maintained, but now the bars will be able to open for customers to pick up orders until 9.30 pm to consume at home.

Toy stores will be allowed to open until 8 pm.
