Recently returnef to Uk. Test centre at airport amazing. Very efficient and only €24 test result with 10 mins book a test on line 3 minutes whole experience from start to finish.
If you are vaccinated you do not need a test to return to UK. I am not vaccinated.

And I’ve been checking the clinics online to order one for coming back, but it seems day 2 tests are still showing PCR which as said would necessary by end of term.
Hello lleen58 - to be truthful I just applied to Expert Medicals for a day 2 test so could not tell you what it is. I have used them 3 times so far and all has been OK - I am fully vaccinated. The cost is 28.00 pounds.
My Irish friends who live in Dublin have to have the full PCR tests so I'm assuming that this is a lateral flow.
Sorry to be so vague however the Government accept this.

Day 2 day 8 and day 5 test to release. Are all PCR tests. All the same test. RANDOX where I got mine from, they are all colour coded but the same.
I am not jabbed so had to do them all. But if you are jabbed you only need day 2 on return to uk.

Sorry forgot to say you must order your day 2 before you leave Spain to be at home when you arrive. As on your UK locator form for arrival in UK you have to put your day 2 test order reference. RANDOX take about 3 days to arrive.

1 more thing PCR and lateral flow are 2 different tests. Not sure when it is changing in Uk for fully jabbed..

Not changed so far, they hope to accept cheaper test half-term holiday. See link below.

You only need a test to return to the UK if you are unvaccinated, you can have a lateral flow test (antigen) done at Malaga Airport for 24 euros, and then a day 2 PCR back in the UK,
If you are vaccinated you only need a day 2 test back in UK, at the moment it needs to be a PCR test but from 24th October it can be a lateral flow test,

We flew back 16 Oct to uk with no problem you do need your passenger locator form to show at biarding

Anyone not double vaccinated to have pre flight home antigen test.
