In Los Alamos, is there a reason our electrics trip if we have the cooker, the a/c, hairdrier and kettle on.

It happened to us in Nueva Andalucia too.

Can this be altered/upgraded.

I live in los Alamos and mine used to trip. I thought it may have because i had to many things on but I got a electrician in and he discovered that the wiring to my washing machine was faulty put in by a cowboy, since he replaced that area I have had no issues.

You'd need to get an electrician to check things out for you.  It could be that your fuse box needs updating/replacing my sister had a similar problem box replaced problem solved. Good luck.

To be honest and assuming that your wiring isn't just dodgy this is more likely to relate to your Potencia which is set by your electricity company. If it's not set high enough then when you have too many appliances on at the same time this causes the system to trip out. All you need to do is contact your electricity supplier, ask what your Potencia is set at now and then have it increased to a level that is appropriate for your needs. Your supplier should be able to advise you. Most properties start out with a Potencia of 2.2 which is the lowest however modern day living where we have all manner of appliances running at the same time generally means that this needs to be increased to cope....anyways, speak to your supplier, they will get it sorted for you.

I hope that helps.

Cheers
