Can't help thinking those are exactly the sorts of questions you should be putting to a really good agent who is used to selling houses to buyers from Britain.

Obviously you'll be speaking to agents during the 4 days you'll be in Sotogrande looking at various properties - great time to ask them anything you like ?

If only there for 4 days I would advise have a good look, take in what information they can, do some research when return, & perhaps go back a second time for longer. Don't buy with 'the sun in their eyes' look at all the complications, remember a surplus of property and most is overpriced plus you need to add 10% to the offer price. (Agents don't tell you the negatives).
