Hi

If you are relocating in the near future it would probably be a good idea to start reading the local press. Currently, Spain is not going into another lockdown however there are local lockdowns and there has been an increase in restrictions.

Here are some good starting points:

Good luck with the move!

Please do not be scared.  There is misleading information out there even in the press.  You do have to wear a mask in public but otherwise things seems pretty chilled where I have been (not everywhere of course).  There are rules like everywhere these days and some make sense and some do not!

More rules and restrictions perhaps in some areas to maintain control of things but lockdown I highly doubt that.  So come and enjoy the blue sky and warm sun even if the bars are closed.  :)

Most of the bars restaurants are fully open. Not very busy, sadly for them. There are very few problems here, most of the issues are centered around Cataluyna and Madrid. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

I believe that besides wearing masks everywhere, there is a 10 person limit at a table in a restaurant and a new smoking rule that you can only smoke outside but you have to be at least 2 meters from the next table. They discovered droplets from smokers are further reaching than they thought.
