Hi all,

as a fan of zero waste lifestyle I am looking forward to meet similar people who are interested in this topic, do volunteering or stuff like that or anything else related to climate changes, environment protection, eco markets, etc...if you are this kind of person or you know somebody, it would be great to connect :) if it's nothing like that in this area I am more than happy to start. At least because of the fact there is a big mess all around the area I live, still cant understand why people throw garbage on the road.

Thank you very much and enjoy your day!

Maria

Hi Maria,

I am with you.  Do not understand people who throw garbage around.  I find Spain alot better than the UK though.  At least where I live here in Casares.

You are about 1 hour drive from me and I am leaving Spain for several months so its probably not going to be me that hooks up with you but I do hope you find some similar minded people.  If we lived closer I would love to get involved with you!

When I lived in the UK I lived along the sea and would always clean up the beaches.  They even did an article of my activities in the local paper but it didn't change people's behavior.  Completely could not understand why people do not see how terrible waste in our waterways is for our future.  Mostly teenagers.  I always wondered what they were learning at school.  Oh well...

Good luck with your efforts.

There is a group that cleans the river banks in Algorobba Costa, based from Chilli Beach restaurant. U3A Torrox are beginning a group soon around the issues of climate change. I know Nerja has 'clean-up groups' but I'm not in touch with them.
