Hi,

My wife has an appointment at her hairdresser next week, she doesn't drive but I do. Can I take her to and from the hairdresser in the car?

Regards,

Terry

Assuming that journeys to the hairdresser are allowed, you can take her in the car but she must sit in the back and on the opposite side to you.

This does sound rather ridiculous it's not going to make any difference. There's more chance of you catching the virus outside than sitting together in the car

Are you allowed to go to the hairdresser? I thought we had to isolate and distance from people outside tour household. Or have restrictions been lifted?

Hi, My wife's hairdresser e-mailed to say that as a self employed person she could open her salon but by appointment only. Also at the moment she cannot bring in her workforce, she has to work alone.

This is highly unusual!  Hairdressers are to be one of the last places to open up given that you cannot style someone's hair from 2 mtrs distance?

In Ireland they are looking at Hairdressers opening in August earliest.  Hairdressers will need full PPE and they have not yet decided on other requirements.

I know, all countries seem to be taking a different view, and yes they are open here with strict guidelines - PPE etc.  We are back now from my wife's hairdressing appointment and it all went very well.

Does how many people can you have in a car change from next week (11th May)?

My partner & I have a friend that does not have a car, & we are all booked in for lunch at a restaurant on Wednesday 13th May, & she has no other means of transportation? Can 3 people travel in a car from next Monday?
