Well i,m lost for words -so i can understand a covid test within before flights but the requirement is that you quarantine for 10 days (ok i understand that part) but that you also have a pcr test on day 2 and 8 but may opt for reducing the quarentine by latest at Day 5 (presumably if you take the test then you hope you get the result by day 8 so it chops 2 days off?

i wonder whether the EU states will implement a similar policy and if so that kills the tourism idea

Does the policy also need readjusting if you have had the full covid vacination ?

maybe i,m naive here but you go to malaga airport and only passengers are allowed inside so all covid negative

fly and allpassengers covid negative ,uk airport are covid negative so the passengeris surely in a safer environment then the average uk citizen is (unless they completely self isolate)

can common sense please see its way into this -RISK assessment??

Yes it does seem a lot and costly but that’s the point to keep people from travelling.
we returned to the UK on 13th of Feb prior to this coming in and did isolate at home for the ten days

In regards to all the test, you could in theory be in contact with an infected person the day or so before your PCR test and it would not show up on your test result and then you travel, as you would believe safely, but a week or so later develop Covid hence the reason for extra tests and isolation. Inconvenience for you but safe for all others.
