Lost property in Malaga

On a recent break I lost my mobile which was handed in to a police station in Malaga by our taxi driver.Uber taxis confirmed this.Problem is when someone tried to collect it on my behalf (we were back home by then) the police refused to return it.I have supplied all the phone details but with no success.I even gave them the IMEI number which is unique to that phone.They want the name of the taxi driver that handed it in but Uber taxis seem reluctant to help.
