Hi

I'm moving to Antequera Spa Park in March. I've booked our flight but it's on a Sunday. Can anyone let me know if there will be anywhere open on a Sunday so that I can buy some provisions, milk, sugar, bread etc.

I realise that as we are out of the main resorts shops may not be open, so will then need to find a restuarant nearby to enable us to have a meal.

I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me.

Kind regards

Diane

I am also moving to Mollina in May, but to La Vina. I am in touch with the people that showed us around and they have told us that the DIA supermarket (near to shell garage) is closed on Sundays and Bank holidays, don't know about any others. Can't you get in touch with the park (did anyone show you around) they could help.

Thank you for your response.

I had been looking at Dia website and couldn't find opening times.

Yes, I was shown around, but to be honest there was so much to take in that a lot of it didn't register properly.

I will contact the people who showed me round and ask them.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Diane,

Was it Wendy and Lin that showed you around? Good luck with your move, we may bump into one another 😀

Hi Chrissie

Yes it was Wendy & Lin that showed me around. Lovely people.

I think we have decided to stay overnight at the airport, so will arrive at the park on the Monday when shops will be open, but I will still check with them first.

Good luck with your move as well.

Yes, if we keep in touch on this forum we could arrange to meet up once you are settled in.

Yes will do, they have events on for both parks so I'm sure we will meet up at some point 😀

If you have not yet moved to Mollina. Why not stay the night at la Castilla hotel in Antequera. 14 Km from Mollina and it is only 30 euros for two for a nights stay. In the centre of the town. Or the other option is that there is a grocery store 40 yards up on the right of the street opposite. It stays open until 14:00 or 15:00 on Sundays.

Good luck

Thank you for your reply.

We arrive in Malaga on Sunday 25th and Wendy & Lin have arranged for us to be picked up and taken to a b&b for the night, but it's still good to know that there is somewhere open on Sunday's nearby.

Thanks again.

Diane

The Spanish appreciate their families, unlike Britain. Supermarkets are generally not open unless in Marbella, Fuengirola, Estepona etc. You will not have a supermarket open in Mollina on a Sunday. Family are important, not shopping.
