I did not know where to post this question, so I will try it here. In the triangle between Cordoba, Malaga and Granada you can buy a big (around 100m2) good looking appartment in a small town / village for around €60.000,--. So... What is the catch?

Why do you assume a catch? You will need to provide a lot more information before anyone can give you any sort of sensible opinion. Without that its a case of if it seems too good to be true then it probably is. On the other hand.....location, state of it, number of beds, baths, living accom, outside space, views, on mains supply for water and electricity?, access to internet?, any liens on it? the list goes on, do you have a link to the property on offer?

As with any property anywhere, ask the important questions and ask the people that should have the answers. The owner, the agent, a lawyer.

Thank you for your reply Andy. My experience is that the agent only tells what he wants to share; and that is not all you need to know. Here are some links:

The links are to numerous properties. I thought you were speaking about one in particular. You are right, an agent is trying to sell so can be economical with the truth, hence, the owner and importantly your lawyer and your own gut feel of course. That said, these are all inland properties for sale during a pandemic when relatively few are buying and it's a sellers market. Price-wise for where they are they don't seem excessively low but you will need to get boots on the ground to see the property, look at the area, understand the reality of owning a property in some inland locations in terms of access to facilities etc. Are you happy, in some cases, to have a 30 minute drive down the side of a mountain for a pint of milk? If you are then that's great but lots of people want restaurants and bars within walking distance. If that's you these are probably not for you. If that's not you then these might be just the ticket. Also think internet access.....that's important for IPTV and suchlike. Can you get a mobile signal? All questions to be answered. When you can travel you need to get there and see for yourself. Research is both important & necessary but it will never beat being there in person.

Good luck!

Most likely because there is very little interest by Non Spanish living in an area like those links present.  The price of property in Spain definitely reflects the demand of buyers.

In these sort of low interest areas the prices will have dropped.  In areas of demand the prices have held.

I would not listen to any agent - probably not anywhere but especially not here in Spain since the shutdowns.

Good luck with the investigation.
