Hello, my other half had an NIE number. we have lost the paper version. Is an NIE for life? If so, how does he get his number again as we have no idea what it was?

Your NIE is often recorded when you buy major items & pay official invoices, open a bank account etc. Maybe you can find the number on an old receipt?

May be a daft question but have you not got your TIE? The NIE number is on there!

TIE issued to foreigners legally resident in Spain. OP may be resident elsewhere, visiting Spain, but has NIE to buy / rent long term property & other major spends

Hi Andrew, unfortunately we don't have TIE numbers as we are still living in the UK. We are moving out next year.. just wanted to get all 🦆in a row.

Hi Stella, didn't think that you had a TIE, I was pointing that out to Bushy who thought you could get the NIE number from your TIE which he seemed to assume you would have
