Hi everyone,     We will be coming to Mollina at the end of July and as the B & B is no longer an option I wondered what the hotel in Mollina is like.  Has anyone stayed there and what was it like?

Thanks in advance,

DIANE

Hi Diane,

Do you mean La Nuit in the village or Saydo Hotel just outside of the village?  We stayed at the B&B you mentioned so it's a shame its not an option as it was lovely.  But, we have stayed at Saydo Hotel and it was pleasant, typically Spanish and OK (in my opinion) for a couple of nights or short stay. We have also stayed at Hotel Posada El Tempranillo in the next village 15 minute drive away, again pleasant and typically Spanish but only an option if you have a car. You used to be able to book mobile homes at Lazy Days (Pueblo Fiesta) for holidays which may be an option to pursue!  I hope you get sorted.

Hi Sue,  thanks for your reply. I meant La Nuit in Mollina as I have read some really good reviews on Trip advisor about it.  Have heard some not so good reviews on the one in Saydo Park. Unfortunately Lazy days don,t rent out places any more.  Its always good to hear first hand the report from someone who has stayed in a particular place.

I agree I was gutted when Wendy said the B & B was no longer available as we thought it was lovely when we stayed there last year.

Do you stay on one of the parks? That's just me being nosy.

Thanks again and regards

DIANE

Hi Diane,

We viewed La Vina and Pueblo Fiesta in Mollina with Wendy and Lin but also looked at Saydo Park through Caravans in the Sun and La Posada in Alameda through Costa Difference.  We bought a home on La Posada in June 2018 but have since moved off and rent in a village half an hour away.  That is no reflection on the park we picked, we just prefer to live independently after the initial help with establishing ourselves into the Spanish system. Good luck for the future.

Sue

Saydo Park is just outside the village about a good 20/25 minute walk with no proper pavements.  I have never seen anyone walk along the road, though it isn't tremendously busy there can be fast traffic.  I have only ever seen mobility scooters use the road for access to the village.  The lakes (El Chorro) are about a 45 minute drive away with another called Iznajar much the same distance.  Consider two other mobile home developments in Mollina Village which have walking access to amenities.

Thank you

The two mentioned mobile homes above are available to view through a company called Costadel Paradise, the two agents who would show you around are Wendy and Linda who are very friendly and helpful.  La Vina Park is just on the edge of the village about a 10 mins safe walk to amenities, the other park Pueblo Fiesta (Lazy Days) is right in the village within a couple of mins walk to amenities.  La Vina is the larger of the two parks with lovely quaint cul-de-sacs and a large clubhouse with activities and of course a lovely swimming pool.  Pueblo Fiesta is smaller but has a bar and swimming pool and did (or does) have a hairdressers and spa facilities.  The village of Mollina has a good British ex pat community with bars, banks, medical centre, supermarkets and a very good charity shop.  It's a good 45 minute drive to the coast.  Because it is so far inland it can get very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter compared to being nearer to the coast. There is also a very large mobile home park 15 mins drive into the next village of Alameda called La Posada. This park is advertised through Costa Difference but although you can safely walk into the village, it takes 20/25 mins to walk but is on a hill.
