The Travel Safe area of Spain’s official tourism website has reminded travellers, “From 1 February 2022, in order to travel to Spain with a vaccination certificate, the certificate must have been issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin at least 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the full course of vaccination, as long as the final dose of that course of vaccination was no more than 270 days ago. From that date, the certificate must show the administration of a booster vaccination.”

Hi, can anyoneone help me clarify, and excuse my ignorance... I understand the timeframes regarding the two initial jabs, but for the booster jab 'From that date, the certificate must show the administration of a booster vaccination' is it definitely also required for entry to Spain? If so, can my friend travel for example the following day having got the booster, or needs to wait a period of time?  Thanks

It does day '14 days prior to arrival in Spain (date(s) of vaccination must be specified'

Logical will includes the booster, because takes time to be effective.

Apologies for me not understanding either! I’m due to come over from England next week. I have had 2 + booster but my daughter aged 23 has only had 2 vaccines, last one being August. Does that mean she can’t come because she hasnt had the booster!

I would say you are OK, as the last vaccination (completed course) was not more than 270 days away.

Effectively they are saying the full course lasts 270 days.  You need a booster if your last shot was more than 270 days ago and then it needs to be 14 days for that to take effect.
