My electricity bill seems high and I wonder if there is a service like the UK's USwitch.com that I can use to compare electricity providers and contracts?

If not could someone advise what I can do to change contracts with which providers as I know nothing about how the electricity market works in Spain?

I don't know the answers to your questions but if you are with Endesa they offer 2 consecutive hours each day free. You choose the hours. If you then do cooking, washing etc in those two hours you can save quite a bit. You need to go to your local Endesa office to arrange it.

Electricity costs  a lot more in spain compare to uk. There are different tariffs available. Normally standard daily charge is around 30euros a month On top of ur usage in my personal experience. The cheap tariff is low voltage tariff but u can only use 2 appliances at a time any more load  it switches off which is pain. Best shop around and if u come across any good deals let us know. Thanks
