Anyone using Ing banking or similar on line only banking in Spain? Does it avoid the usual high costs associated with banking here. Was it easy to change banks ?

Go for Revolut. Its entirely online and you can have an account in sterling or euros. You'll not find a better euro/sterling exchange rate. You do not need a UK address - can be Spanish; but you will need to scan and send a copy of your passport for identification purposes.

personally I opened an account with Moneycorp. I deposit my UK and US pensions and they give a better rate than a bank when changing to Euros. Then you can go online and transfer the Euros to a Spanish bank.

Hi, they don't charge me but it depends on what type of account..So if they charge, the money you save on the exchange would be gobbled up witht e charge?

They do issue travel cards. I don'rt have one now. Best to ring them and get all the details.
