Taking your dog for a walk in the heat of the day can cause huge stress to your dog. Tiled and tarmac pavements can reach 60 degrees C by midday under the hot Spanish sun, this is hot enough to take the skin of your feet. What do you think it does to you poor dogs feet. Take your footwear off and put your bare foot on an un-shaded pavement at midday.
If you have to walk your dog in the heat of the day walk in shaded areas or on grassed area.
