Hi

Does anyone know about deemed rental value tax? . We’ve just been billed for our holiday apartment even though we don’t rent it out.  We understand it’s based on the rateable  value of the property but can’t find out what this is. Thanks.

To my knowledge this is what is referred to as a "Non Resident Tax".  It is  applied to your home whether it is rented or not if you are not a resident of Spain.

To pay your Non-Resident tax in Spain you will need your green IBI form which is your annual council tax bill from Manilva. It is normally posted to your address in Spain every August.

Once you have that go online to:

https://spanishtaxforms.co.uk/spanish-property.html

You will need to supply some of the information on your IBI form and the organisation will then complete the tax forms and email them back to you. You then print them off, take them to your Spanish bank and pay.

This service is the best I have found and at £39 it is also the cheapest. I normally pay their fee by a bank transfer from my UK account.

This should help.

I also use Spanish Tax Forms Ltd. They are very efficient, quick and offer a good value service.  They also send me a reminder when the payment is due.

This is copied from an earlier post I made on this forum. I personally would not pay €100 for what is a relatively simple Non-Residents tax return:
