For years I slavishly paid Endesa their increasingly expensive electricity  charges without realising until latterly that there was an open market. I am currently still on a contract with them but have changed it to Discrimination Times which provides a substantial discount between 11pm and 1pm the following day. This was done through Rafalux in Sabinillas for a €10 fee.

However, I know that it is possible to get better deals - one method is by using this website:

https://comparadorofertasenergia.cnmc.es/

Has anyone successfully changed using this website? Or has anyone changed suppliers by themselves and got a better deal?  It would be useful to know which company you went with and what sort of tariff.

Does anyone know if there are alternatives to Hidralia for water supply in the Manilva area?

Ha ha ....just last week i found the compare web site but it doesn't work effectively as it does in the UK.  I have written to them and am waiting for a response.  Maybe it will never come.  :)

Also recently, based on a comment on this site, learned of Fenie Energy and wrote to them for a compare.  They asked me for my bill and when i sent it they responded that they have a flat fee and didn't give me the information to make a decision.

So the research goes on.

Martyn, please keep us informed of anything you find that will help us look at alternative providers.  Thanks, Kerri

Hi Martyn,

I recently used this site:

https://watiofy.com

Not sure how good it is either! It indicated that my current tariff (Endesa''s Happy Hour where you receive free electricity for 2 hours per day) was the best option.

However maybe worth a look?

Hi - has anybody switched to Nordic Energy by any chance?
