Hi everyone, we recently completed a purchase of a new property in November 2020 which we haven’t been able to access due to Spanish travel restrictions, I so much need to get over to furnish and sort it out, do you think that with the relevant documentation ie proof of purchase we would have a problem getting into Spain, Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Glyn

Hi Glyn

Congrats on your purchase. Would it not be advisable to get your solicitor to give you a letter of consent just in case you get stopped in Malaga.

You can travel to Spain but you would also need to self isolate when you return to the UK.

Good luck

We have a property in Spain but have been informed by our solicitor that unless we have Spanish residency we will be refused entry by immigration officials .  Documentation relating to owning a property is not enough to gain entry at the present time .  We have also taken advice from the Spanish embassy who have given the same answer . I hope the situation changes soon as we also want to go to our apartment in Spain .
  Best Regards .

All of this is so confusing as I read articles from solicitors and they say yes then others say no....

If you can go then you would still have to self isolate for the 10 days when you come back as well.

Bring on the Covid passports:)

Yes hope it gets sorted out soon as I haven't seen my place for over 18 months now.
