Hello Everyone,  I am wondering if anyone has had this issue, and if so how can we fix it.

We bought an apartment in La Cala, had it renovated with new doors, window,s floors , etc and have now started furnishing.   The flat was locked up from Oct to Jan and when we went over our flat was black , walls, ceilings  .  My husband thinks it is condensation.  Can anyone give advice.  If i left any windows open i could have a Cockroach infestation etc or burglary.

Has anyone else had these issues, and if so please can you give us advice on what to do.

Thank you so much in advance for any HELP. x

Hi Jeaniebeanie

After Franco died many restrictions were lifted and there was a building boom. Overnight, a lot of people suddenly became 'builders'. Nearly all modern houses in Spain and Portugal suffer with damp due to the poor build quality and inappropriate use of build materials.

We have tried white vinegar, teatree oil, bleach, and harsh language all to no avail. The only product we have found that actually kills mould and retards regrowth is Pro-Kleen. Unfortunately, it has not been available in Spain or Portugal until now. We were so impressed with the product that we are now exclusive distributors for Pro-Kleen in Spain and Portugal.

In fact, we need to do a promotional video showing how incredible and effective the product is. If this is something that you feel interested in doing, then we would love to hear from you. If you would like to send me a private message then I will reply with my contact details.

Kindest regards

Shelley

Hi.

I had the same issue in my village house which had been empty for some time. My builder installed outside vents in every room which cured the problem.

You must have airflow and never shut every internal door always leave them ajar. There are several types of air exchange fans on the market including solar powered ones
