I have seen adverts for companies who offer long term parking at Malaga Airport so we can pick up our own car and leave it when we visit our Holiday home.
Has anyone had any experience good or bad or offer any advice?

Hi we highly recommend David Caddick at i parking (951332805) used his service for a few years - very reliable and reasonably priced contract.

I thought visiting only a holiday home since brexit meant owning a car in spain without residence was not possible without jumping thro hoops.
Correct me if i am wrong. Not least passing driving test again in spanish not to mention annual insurance mot and spanish registered car

Thanks for the info both of you, i am getting mixed advice on the legalities of owning a car in Spain i think it might be worthwhile speaking with a solicitor to clarify.

Hi Just to advise you we purchased a car last year(after Brexit) from a dealer in fuengerola, no problem with being a non resident, just had to show our NIE number, insurance also no problem via Linea Direct, just make sure car is free from finance, fines etc., get certificate to show this from dealer!!..Abspoulutely no need to involve a solicitor. hope this helps

Hi, Thank you for this info, you have confirmed what others have already advised, I think so long as we don’t over do the 90 day rule it’s probably easier for non residents to own a car as opposed to gaining residentia and having to take a driving test after 6 months. Do you have any details las of the car dealer in Fuengirola?
