Our Electricity bill with Endesa is approx 120 euro a month when not here and approx 200-220 when we are here. Seems excessive when only leave a fridge freezer on and pools 2 hours a day.

Can anybody give us an idea if this sounds expensive or not.

I think that’s shockingly expensive! Are you aware of the Happy tariff they offer where you can choose two hours a day when electricity is free? That’s when we use the washing machine, dishwasher etc. We only have a small pool and had to leave the pump on for 6 hours a day for a month as we were having problems, but never experienced bills that high. You need to check your tariff and speak to them. Good luck with that.

Yes, it is expensive. We also are with Endesa and are on their Happy Hour tariff.  We have a chest freezer, 2 under counter fridges and pool running for 2 hours and our monthly bill is 35-40€ when we're not in residence and about 80€ when there all the time. I changed on line - can't say it was easy but I'm not a techno wizard! They have an office in La Trocha in Coin that may be able to provide more info.

Hi.

Try changing to Nordic. Easy to do online as they take care of everything. All in English and have off peak hours. Guarantee to save you money.

Hi,

Sounds quite excessive. We have 2 fridge freezers, 2 TVs, air con and electric cooker and oven and ours runs about 2 Euros a day on average. Get your supply checked, sounds like you have a connection that you should not have.

Energy Noric have cut my bills by 30-40%  great communications and English speaking agents.  They do everything for you and will advise your current supplier etc.  We got ours changed over last October and have saved a considerable sum of money!  It only took about 10 days.  You can also get a night/day tarriff from them which is brilliant cheaper electric in summer from 11 pm to 1 pm (yes 14 hours) and in winter 10 pm to 12 noon.  You do have to swap over on the same type of tarriff as you are on currently but as soon as your contract commences with Nordic you can ask to move tarriffs admin cost was €15 I think.... to do this.  All you need to do is email them a copy or a recent bill and they will advise how much they can save you.  Good luck (your current bills are extortionate!)
