Can we all please be extra vigilant when out shopping either in the car or on foot? A good friend was robbed yesterday in the car park of Mercadona in Torremolinos. A smart well-dressed young woman used the old trick of tapping on the window and asking directions. Meanwhile her companion was opening the back door and stealing the lady's hand bag which she had foolishly just placed on the back seat. She is elderly and lives alone. They took all her bank cards, Identification card, everything. I am hearing this increasingly in the last couple of weeks, also reading about it in the Sur in English. Don't open the car window or door no matter what they say to you. Take care and stay safe.

Very sad.

The first thing I do when I get in my car is to press the lock button.
