Stupid question alert, but have you been to a pharmacy?

They've recently come on sale in our local pharmacy for €8.95 each (or it might have been €7.95, I can't remember).

I very much doubt they'll rip you off, because the prices are set by the government for that type of mask, and the other surgical type, which costs 95c. I happen to have a picture, because I took one after I bought it to send to friend, who also wanted to buy one.

Hope this helps.

Edit: I've just realised that your original post is from 22 April, so you've probably got a mask now. Didn't see that till just now!

Sadly, N95 masks, which are intended for doctors and nurses, are made of paper and are NOT reusable.

N95 masks should be disposed of after a single use of not more than 8 hours.

N95 masks protect the patient from a doctor or nurse spreading the coronavirus when they cough or sneeze.

N95 masks do not offer much protection to the doctor or nurse from being infected by the virus.

The number N95 means that they filter 95% of small particles but allow 5% to penetrate.

PPF3 masks are better than N95 masks, because they filter 99% of small particles, but cost about £30 each and also are NOT reusable.

To be protected from infection from other people you must wear a visor or goggles, ideally a full face helmet, to stop the virus entering your eyes.

The wearing of masks in public only works if everybody wears the masks.

Cloth masks are just as effective at stopping the spread of the coronavirus when the wearer coughs or sneezes.

Cloth masks can be disinfected by washing in a washing machine and are reuseable.
