Hello, me and my husband are coming to fuengerola on 11th February for a few days and stopping at fuengerola beach. Could anyone please tell me of any nice restaurants near by, is it far to walk into the main areas.

Also can I check do we need to wear masks when walking in the streets.

Thank you for any help.

There is no simple answered to that question, the beach front is several miles long & there are hundreds of great places to eat, do you know where you are staying?  Here a Trip adviser link https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g315915-zfp43-Fuengirola_Costa_del_Sol_Province_of_Malaga_Andalucia.html

Hi Denise

If you enjoy walking try a walk to  Los Boliches (where hotel Yaramar is)  from where you are,  lots of lovely places to eat and drink there... some of the Spanish restaurants are worth a try. You do still need to wear masks outdoors at the moment though I'm afraid.

There is a bus service from the Myarmar shopping centre that will take you into the heart of Fuengirola and Los Boliches,  the fare is 1.15 euros to travel anywhere along the route.

Hi

I don’t know where Fuengirola beach apartments are, but if you can get to Bistro Michel which is located under the railway bridge to the rear of Fuengirola beach Hotel in Torreblanca....then you are in for the treat of your life! Also El Rio in Los Boliches is great, and Estilo de campo on fish Alley is great too! If you want menu of the day in a typical Spanish place try La esquinita bar, located just behind Los boliches railway station!

One man´s stroll is another´s hike but I suggest you use google maps or similar to check walking times. Your accom. is at the far end of the main town but I have enjoyed "Restaurante la Farola" which is about 1.5 kms away and tucked away in a small square. But check first as at this time of year many restaurants close for some days each week so on any day some are open and some closed and maybe the next day the situation is reversed. Masks remain obligatory in Spain although often not worn when in open spaces with nobody nearby.

Also find the main post office in Fuengirola, it is a lovely area near the church square and next to fish alley (a street with loads of restaurants) at the back of the po is a Tapas square, lizarran is my favourite, very cheap and if you time it at lunch time they come out with loads of fresh tapas....it’s fantastic....

Also there is a covered area like a market that is a tapas market, well worth a look, and a relatively easy walk for you
