Taking my pet to Spain

I’m moving to Frigiliana in February with my small dog.  I am traveling from London to Paris, via the Tunnel. Then, flying Air France to Malaga with my dog in the Cabin! Lots of Mainland European airlines accept small animals in the cabin, which is grea and it’s nice for the pet too!

I am hoping to move to Spain from France, I have two Doberman x rescue dogs. I understand this breed comes under the 'dangerous dog breed'. Any advice on any problems I may encounter bringing them into southern Spain?

The PPP will be a problem potentially. There's a charity called Amorppp who rescue these breeds who will have a wealth of knowledge. Also Citizens Advice Spain is a free site for facts and donation to answer specific queries. Also Seprona, the official organisation (branch of the police) will probably help. Do general Google searches. But don't continue with your plans until you are sure you can cope with the restrictions this will put on your dogs and you.

The rules are very clear and strict with regard to ownership, registration, insurance and exercising breeds regarded as dangerous here. The consequences can be severe if the law is not respected.

You need to speak to DEFRA look on line I am taking a Dog and a Parrot to Spain my Vet sorted Dog had to get a Export Licence for Parrot from DEFRA it takes time so do ASAP
