I agree. As with everything in life...a positive attitude is paramount. As is an evidence based, informed, realistic and factually correct one too, backed up with research, as to what is possible to achieve, given finances available, as none pension recipients, and... help from informed forum clientele...who have endured the same experience.

Hi Wes,

You have had some good practical advice from others so I would just like to add some less practical points, but important.

Yes fear is a big demotivator so just ask yourself, if it does not work out, what could go wrong.

If you have a property in the UK then don't sell it, rent it out. Rent here and if things don't work out you have a base to go back to.

Again, look at your work and I am sure you could always go back and get another job.

On the positive side, it would be a great education for your child, speaking two languages is a wonderful skill. Quality of life is better here, more outdoors, wonderful scenery, easier to travel around Europe.

Finally, if you do not give it a try, you may live to regret it!

Thanks Trevor. I very much appreciate the comment.
