No, not impossible at all!

We’ve bought 4 times and sold once without the issues described. Find a good agent, work WITH them and ignore the idiots, simple!

Give up and you will never find what you are looking for.

Estates agents in Spain make huge commissions, which attracts a lot of...err, let me be frank, dishonest people into the unregulated business. Be very very careful! Some of these agents you wouldn´t buy a watch from, let alone a house! My advise would be to work with an agent by recommendation only. I´ve lived here for 10 years and seen and heard it all! If you wish, I have a good friend based in Marbella, he covers Estapona and I trust him. I can message you his details if you like. He doesn´t over charge and will give you a honest valuation as opposed to many, who will be soley focused on their commission.

We bought ours through Inland Andalusia, the office we used was in Mollina. I honestly couldn't fault the total service we received from this company.

Hi

Note sure if you have now already visited and made a decision but I can highly recommend Edina & James from Affinity Humberts. I purchased a holiday home in January of this year after visiting in November 2018 and viewing 12 properties in one day. We narrowed it down to a top 3 and took another look the day after, ending up with an apartment near to La Cala De Mijas.. Very pleased with the support from Affinity Humberts, Edina was very patient with us as our initial view of what we wanted evolved during the day!!

We had previously gone through the mill trying to self select properties based on estate agents websites but due to the multi listing arrangements some of the properties turned out to have been sold over a year ago and just not removed from a website. We ended up relying on Edina to sort out a list of properties based on our requirements and didn't regret it.

If you end up buying I would also recommend My lawyer in Spain as your legal representative, they may not be the cheapest but they were very responsive and thorough. We dealt with with Nadja at MLS.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Mike

I would go with review from Jenga  about using Future Homes if you want a proper “ Estate” agent who will listen to your actually requirements and stick close to your budget,
