Hi Notters,
I live in San Luis De Sabinillas, 10km from Estepona.
I play golf and run the Golf Accessories side of my wife's gift shop. We sponsor a local "Puerto De La Duquesa Golf Society.
If you drive down the A7 towards Gibraltar you will find several good courses all in your budget. (See attached map picture)
First on the right is Valle Romano
Then at the 2nd Roundabout you have Estepona Golf and Azata.
Casares Golf is at the 3/4th roundabout. It is also the road to Finca Cortesin Golf. Casares is 9 holes and Finca is expensive.
Just past this roundabout by the famous La Choza Restaurant is the road to Dona Julia Golf.
Next past our shop and town on the main A7 is Duquesa Golf Club.
Past this are the courses around Sotogrande including the expensive Valderama. However we have played at the excellent public course La Canada.
I am playing at Azata this weekend, its new and challenging but great club and we are paying around €65 including buggy.
Have played Casares Golf, Don Julia and Estepona.
Hope this helps.
