I joined this page on behalf of my brother, he moved here 6 months ago. He is 75 years old and an ex biker. He has had motorbikes since he was 14 years old and has built and sold trikes most of his life.he can build a bike from scratch with his eyes closed. Like most people his age he struggles with technology, he is trying to lern facebook,WhatsApp etc at the moment. He has family here but needs to meet like minded people his own age.back in ireland he had a large circle of friends and his bike shed so he was never lonely. He has asthma and being alone so much has increased his smoking habit to a dangerous rate. He needs an outlet, preferably bike related, he would work for free in any bike related business. If anyone here can recommend a group or activity that may suit him we would be very grateful.

Don't be disheartened that you have no responses yet to your enquiry!

Its a difficult time for folks to hook up with people they do not know already.

Also you are asking for a pretty specific type of person to connect with your brother which makes getting a response more unlikely.

You didn't clarify when you said "bike" related whether this was motor bike?

Your care and consideration of him is really wonderful though and I am sure lots of people reading your post would feel that way. However, if they cannot offer assistance they will not reply.

I do hope that sooner or later you will find someone to help your brother out and when things can get a little more to normal (it may be awhile yet unfortunately) that it will be easier for him to meet up with other folks with his interests. Best wishes, Kerri
