Car Rental

I have posted before about this, and you are spot on about the online rental companies who will rip you apart with forced extras when collecting your car.

There is a company in St Julian village ( I think that is the name, but it is the only little town very, very close to the airport. In the centre ( not the car rentals as you enter the village) and they are more than reasonable, they will not force you to use your credit card, or ask for a deposit.

I just cannot remember the name, but it is very easy to find when in the centre of this very small town, I will try to find the name of the company for you from a friend tomorrow, they will wait for you at the airport arrivals with a name board and take you to the site, really nice (Spanish) people who can not help enough.

I use Rentalcars.com it is a search engine that finds the cheapest options and they only use reputable organisations- I’ve never had any problems over the years

For the past 20 years, we have known and used Malagacar.com who are located by the airport close to the B.P. fuel station.

I am meeting the guy tomorrow evening (Tues)... he may also have the phone number, they speak good English

Thomas you will be pleased with this company, no scams, no pressuring you to buy extra insurance, no insisting on you using your credit card where the Internet hire companies can (and often do) charge you for fictitious damage when you return the car.... I also have a unused discount code you can have if you private message me, having said that they are already considerably cheaper than the airport car hire scammers..... and they are all just about as crooked as each other.
