Hi all

We have just bought an apartment in the El Presidente urbanisation near Estepona. We will be visited by friends and family on a regular basis and were wondering best way for them to get to us without hiring a car (and us acting as taxi)

Any advice on buses from the airport would be great fully received

Thanks in advance

Cliff

I don't have the full details but I do know that there is a bus or multiple buses that run from Malaga airport to San Pedro and Estepona. Friends use Estepona regularly and tell me it's a good and extremely inexpensive service. The bus to there runs straight to the bus station almost opposite Carrefour and they then get a taxi or a lift to the apartment. The same will be the case for San Pedro. Maybe somebody will post details of where the buses run from at the airport but I believe its pretty obvious and well sign posted.

I hope that helps.

Have a look at http://www.andalucia.com/travel/bus/airport.htm

The problem is that El Presidente, although technically in the Ayuntamiento of Estepona, is actually on the edge of it, and nearer to San Pedro than to the town and bus station of Estepona.  The bus passes El Presidente on the way to the Estepona bus station, although on the other side of the road. To get a taxi from the Estepona bus station to El Presidente might be expensive, although perhaps not if there are four people. There might be a stop at the Diana Park Centro Commercial, which is on the opposite side of the A7 road to El Presidente, but you would need to check whether the bus stops there.
