We are hoping to continue our retirement in Spain. I have read conflicting advice on the healthcare system. Will we be able to access free healthcare as retirees, or will we have to have private healthcare. Or is it a bit of both.

I'm afraid there's no answer to that at the moment. It all depends on Brexit and how any deal is structured. You might try the CAB page, they seem to be up to date on things but, I don't suppose they will have any conclusive answers at this stage.
