Swimming pool over 200 square metres surface area - is there any 'work around' for the requirement to have a lifeguard on duty when the pool is open. Signage for example - 'Swim at your own risk'? I can't believe every development can afford a lifeguard.

It wouldnt be worth it at some communities as most pools are empty until Spanish families come for the summer holidays ..

Hi

It can't be a legal requirement as our community has 2 very large pools and no lifeguards. There is signage that shows health and safety rules and stipulates no unaccompanied children. We have lots of other community pools in our area and no lifeguards all year round.

Hope this helps.
