Hope you have a Spanish licence to drive one, in the past have used Cotri, who are very good. Note second hand cars are over priced in Spain, 'silly money', they don't have an age related number plate and people keep cars a long time, many used have mega mileage, new ones are better value,

Thanks for this. I’ve obviously mis-understood the rules, as I though I was ok to drive using my uk licence as we’re not residents as yet. So using the 90 in 180day rule.
But know exactly why you mean regarding second hand cars. I’ll have a look at the link you sent. Thanks in advance.

You better check, the law as I understand is that Visitors to Spain are able to use a UK licence for up to six months from the date of entry. It also states here, - they may also use their own driving licence for up to 6 months 'after they have applied for residency in Spain'. If the foreign license is not in Spanish, however, they must always carry an official translation or an International Driving Permit (IDP).

The internet not really a reliable source, it can be conflicting, one needs to find the legislation or check Police. Meanwhile lets' hope UK can pull off a swap deal with Spain. They have with 24 other European countries.
