Hi Folks

My wife and I visited Duquesa a few weeks ago and loved it. We are seriously thinking of buying in the area now with the view to settle within the next 5 years. Can anyone please give us some info on good developments / bad developments...shopping...do,s and dont's...anything that could be beneficial to us before we commit...

Thanks for your cooperation

Hi Bonzo,

We’ve lived in Duquesa for 20 years in fact we are selling our 4 bedroom house with Panoramic sea views on 1st tee of Duquesa golf course .

It’s on sale with infinity Humberts but if you contact me direct I would be happy to discount the agent fee.regards

Ken

Hi there. We have bought twice in Duquesa. First time we bought in Residencial Duquesa, and we stayed there for 10 years. It is walking distance from all amenities, is very well kept, has really good maintenance fees and lovely neighbours.  It is all 2 bedroom apartments but I do know that someone on the development successfully converted a ground floor one into a 3 bed - the ground floor ones have large enough patios to do that. We were very happy there, it's a great starter place if you want to be here long-term, like us.

Second time, we looked up and down the whole coast (it took 2 years), and couldn't find anywhere better than Duquesa for us. Our second purchase was in Los Granados - it is a bit more upmarket and is right on the sea front. The maintenance fees are a good bit higher but it's a bigger apartment and the location is fab.  Good luck in your search, you've picked a great place.
