Hi everyone, I am due to move to Duquesa next Friday, after almost a two year traumatic divorce. New life new start! However I’m really worried after watching the tax videos on Spain expo, about self employment in Spain, the taxes seem so high and entrepreneurial enterprises don’t seem to be encouraged. I’m also worried that I now find, I think, that alimony payments are also taxable, this is not a huge amount I’m receiving And what I will initially live on. Am I correct in reading that it is taxable? Has anyone else got any experience on this? What do you think is an average amount to get comfortably by on per month in Spain? Starting to wonder if I’ve made the right decision, and wish I had watched the videos before hand! I intend to see an accountant when I get there, I guess I’m just trying to put my mind at ease and hear anyone else’s experience before hand. Many thanks and kind regards in advance x
