My introduction to Competa

I have been going to Competa for over thirty years.  My first business was set up in 1987, a solar energy business.  I bought a finca in Cuesta Benamayor...and developed it into a lovely comfortable home.  There was no running water or electricity.  I have had a keen interest in property in Spain since - and have had two more businesses!

I no longer live in Competa, but visit on a regular basis. I live in Northern Ireland and travel to France and Scotland for work occasionally.  My home though is now Northern Ireland.

I love Competa.. the people are friendly and helpful - and muy simpatico!  I got to know several Spanish families very well and always see my Spanish friends when I am there.

In 1995 I was in La Universidad Politecnica de Madrid studying IT with Spanish, and have since completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Economics, as well as a Diploma in Freelance Journalism.

I am always very curious about everything which gets me into trouble sometimes!
