Hi Maridoll

At the moment you need to have a Covid test up to 72 hours before you fly. I’m not in Estepona and I’m sure someone from there will let you know about bars & restaurants. I’m sure there will be lots open.

You will have to check if there are any restrictions in March. At the moment we have a curfew from 10pm until 6am and are not allowed to go into municipalities that have a higher Covid rate, but that could change.

Good luck, and enjoy

Hi Maridoll

At the moment Spain is only allowing Spanish  Nationals or Permanent Residents into the Country. If you do not fall in one of these categories you will not be allowed to go to your Property. Even the Airlines will not allow  you to board your Aircraft if you do not have the Green Paper or  Card Based  Residence permit. Alternatively you have  to have one of the   New T.I.E cards or  evidence to confirm  your T.I.E. application is in process. I do not know when this situation will change  as all of Spain is in Level 4 of the Coronavirus Pandemic.. Keep an eye on the Olive Press Newspaper online for latest news.

Hope this helps

Nigel

Maridoll, I feel your pain. We got locked out of Spain in March last year, and had booked 8 flights, all cancelled. Ninth time lucky. I saw Nigel’s reply to you. If you don’t have a residencia or TIE then you could apply for a Schengin visa which will allow you to stay for up to 90 days, but then you can’t return for another 90 days. Good luck with it all 😀

Hi Maridoll

All the same rules apply same as it was in 2020. Complete medical form and in addition get  negative PCR test 72 hrs before you leave Ireland. You may stay 180 days per year in Spain. Stay for 90 days and then leave the Schengen Area for 90 days and  then return  to Spain for your other 90 Days

I believe even the papers saying your residencia application has been approved are not good enough to get you on a plane at the moment. It has to be the actual TIE plastic card.

Hi everyone,

We have a second home in La Cala and have had the same issues as everyone else with flights. I wandered if anyone knows if the land borders have the same entry requirements as the airports. More often than not we drive down either via Bilbao, or via France.

Following the recent floods, we have had flooding in our basement so need to get over there to sort the mess as soon as possible.

Thanks

Neil
